CNC Machinist Level I or II Swing shift

Kai USA, the manufacturer of Kershaw Knives and Zero Tolerance Knives in Tualatin, Oregon. We have have an immediate need for CNC Mill Operators.

Swing Shift: Monday-Thursday 5 PM - 3:30 AM.

Pay: $20-$23 depending on experience. Add $2.50 shift differential for swing shift and weekend shift.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties Summary:

In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the CNC Mill Operator will be responsible for:

• Operate CNC (computer numerical control machines) to fabricate parts.
• Operate assigned machines, make set-ups, compute machine speed and feeds.
• Load and unload parts for machining.
• Use tools such as calipers and micrometers to inspect machined parts, and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
• Read and interpret manufacturing prints.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The qualified employee will have 1 year of college related courses such as manufacturing technology (CNC), or a high school diploma/GED and 1 to 2 years of related experience operating production machinery, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 1-year previous machine operation experience in metal manufacturing
• Proficient in the use of handheld measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing prints is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret computer generated work orders.
• Prefer experience with interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and other specifications.
• Ability to make necessary mathematical computations as required per assignment.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.50 per hour
